Mold making (closed)

I will be offering up molds for those who would like to mold parts for yourself, but do not want to invest the time and patience required with mold making.

I will be offering a variety of molds and the price will depend on how complex the molds become. This can be a simple one piece mold, this means that the part only has detail on one side and the back side doesn’t have any detail. Next will be a two part mold, this means that the part has details on both the top and bottom that need to be maintained. Lastly will be three and four part molds, this means that there is intricate detail that need to be maintained on both top and bottom, but the part also has undercuts and fine details on the sides as well. Such as holes, deep grooves, and curves that would result in air pockets being trapped when pouring the top or bottom of the molds.

I am also going to be offering up a beginner mold making kit along with a beginner resin casting kit. This will be two kits combined into one that will contain everything you will need to make a mold, whether it be one piece mold or two piece mold, and then cast your part using your new mold.

Here is what you will be getting in the beginner molding/resin kit:

  • 1 lb of Tin Cure Silicone
  • 1 pint mixing cup
  • Digital scale: 1000 gram capacity scale
  • 5 pairs of gloves
  • 4 plastic welding rods (for creating channels in your molds)
  • 1/2 lb sulfur-free soft modeling clay
  • 4 cardboard strips (for making mold boxes)
  • 20 rubber bands
  • Clay sculpting tools
  • 16 assorted small mold pegs (.26 oz)
  • 1/2 oz mold release (Blue bottle)
  • 1 set of paint brushes (to apply mold release to the molds)
  • 1 X-acto knife (for cleaning up molds after they have cured)
  • 5 1 oz mixing cups
  • 1 pair of nippers
  • 1.5 oz of baby powder (for spreading on the mold)
  • 16 oz of resin (1:1 mixing ratio, 8 oz of both part A and B)
